Cerro da Fidalga House
Cerro da Fidalga House
The reconstruction and expansion of this farmhouse was conceived as a vacation home that preserves the form and spirit of the old house and its original functions. The proposal preserved the house's minimalist design with occasional openings, a characteristic of the region with its harsh summers.
In the living and dining room, the difference in floor height of the original house is used to create a distinct space between the dining area and the living area. In the living area, direct access to the outdoors was created through a glazed area that opens onto the porch and the southern view of the sea and the old fishing village of Burgau.
